Keep the light of Chanukah going! There's an age-old (Talmudic) debate about whether we should start with 1 candle on the 1st night of Chanukah and increase a candle each night, or whether we should shart with 8 candles on the first night and decrease a candle each night. Hillel won that argument, so we increase light. Whichever way you look at it- May the light of Chanukah that is always within you continue to shine bright, come sunset, horrible war or darkness of any kind.

We say "Don't let the light go out!"(Thank you Peter, Paul and Mary, & thank you Torah which enjoins us to keep the eternal lamp burning.) But really, the Rabbis of yore taught the light of Chanukah is the Or HaGanuz, the primordial hidden light of Creation. It's our own awareness of the light that dims, not the light itself. Let's not let our connection to the light go out! Do what you must to feed your light.

The world needs your light, especially during times of darkness!
